I'm not sure, but they might be Mexican Primrose. Do you have a teenager? Ask him or her to help you turn that link into a picture. I never would have figured it out on my own. :P

Not nearly as crisp and clear as yours  , but look at how cool the two-colored flower is.

Absolutely gorgeous shots...what kind of camera system you shooting with, Canon? Nikon?Sony maybe? It's obvious you've got a pretty killer macro going there..what's the focal length and aperture?

I'm a Nikon Guy. Yes, some were taken with a 105mm 2.8 macro but a lot were taken with an 18-200 zoom which focuses real close. Aperture on true macro is usually f11 or 16, the zoom: usually 5.6 or 8.

Thanks for your kind comments.

I wish there was a camera club around here!

You make the ordinary weeds and flowers look more beautiful than they really are! :D

Same here. I'm shooting with a Sony A230 at the moment....I've had Minolta and Canon cameras in the past but the A230 is my first digital. Here's a few pics I took up by the wash a few weeks ago....I took most of them with my Sony 75-300 zoom, which despite being a kit lens does a pretty good job:
