Sorry I could not make it. I hope t0 hear an update here on the following things:
-How could this project been approved for THAT site?
-There is NO parking.
-Where were the parents going to park while waiting for their kids?
-Where would they drop them off? On Tujunga Canyon Blvd? Too, too busy for that.
-What about bathrooms? I hear that it was approved for two porta potties? WTF? Porta potties? What country is this?
-How could they put the wood of the foundation directly on dirt? Isn't that an invitation for termites?
-Why were there no "simpson ties" that connect the 'sticks resting on the dirt to the walls? *sorry I don't know construction terms)?
But really, bottom line, and the very first question HOW DID THAT PROJECT GET APPROVED FOR THAT SITE? Same question for another project: How did the propane sellers get approved for THAT site?
This next part is speculation on my part: Are the planners being paid off? It sure looks that way to me. Either that or they are, excuse the expression... STUPID.
I will bite my tongue.
The project should NOT have been approved.
A series of errors were made and NOW the applicant is going through what should have been required all along, a full Project Permit Compliance Review. Believe me all of those questions have been asked.
For anyone who missed driving by today Mother Nature is assisting them in the removal of the walls that were now required to be removed for being too high. The applicant came and brought drawings. I gave mine to the audience or I would scan it and post it here. They're now going through the entire Environmental Impact Report questions.
Yes the city told them Port-o-potties are OK. Yes I often wonder if I am now in the Twilight Zone.
