I live in south Tujunga near the Autozone and I've been hiring explosions in the distance. I've heard 2 myself and my dad has heard at least one other.

It's always one at a time so that rules out certain types of fireworks. It probably also rules out pistols since nobody fires those just once, it was too deep of a sound to be one anyway.

Any idea what they could be? Anyone closer to them that might have more insight?
