The backstories (things that might happen if you could travel in time) are much more interesting than the main plot - stopping Oswald.

I can recommend this one.

You are the second person to recommend this to me. I used to be a big Stephen King fan but the last 10 years or so.. not so much. On another note.. I received a book today that I ordered from Amazon. A new paperback copy of Don't Know Much About Anything by Kenneth Davis (I like his writing style with his -Don't Know much about... books)and the book outlet only charged me .01 cent... and the 3.99 shipping. Refreshing.

I am actually reading two....when one is chock full of info and takes a while to digest, I will also read something lighter...so I am reading The French Quarter, an Informal History of New Orleans Underworld, written by Herert Asbury and published in 1938 and Both of US- my Life with Farrah, written by Ryan O'Neil...both are quite captivating

I'm reading The Return Journey by Maeve Binchy. It is a collection of short stories. I just finished Nora Nora by Anne Rivers Siddons. I'm also trying to read The Power of Habit by Charles Duhigg. I'm hoping it will help me break a bad habit (smoking). But when I read at night to relax, I want a story I can get lost in. No Kindle for me either. I'm old fashioned when it comes to books. I want to hold it, feel it, smell it.

Till Death Us Do Part by Vincent Bugliosi with Ken Hurwitz. A true murder mystery based on a late 60's case of a man who was accused of two murders. Interestingly, he owned a bar in Sunland called Judy's Grand Duchess at 7855 Foothill Blvd. Does anybody recall this bar? It appears it was just west of El Pollo Loco, whose address is 7851 Foothill.

What a great topic. I recommend...

Delores Claiborne by Stephen King
The Witching Hour trilogy by Anne Rice
Eat Pray Love by Elizabeth Gilbert

For classics, Little Women is a great read.

There are more but I need to look up the authors.

I broke down & got a Nook. I love the smell & feel of a book, but hated finishing a book & having nothing to read until I made it to the book store or library. I love the instant gratification it provides. The e-ink technology really makes it easy to read in the sun, which is important to me. I find the color nook & kindle useless due to the glare.

I just finished "The Age Of Miracles". It was great. Then my thirteen-year-old daughter polished it off in a day. She reads about four novels a week. I don't. I think it is time for her to do more chores.
