I was very sad to hear that he'd died - especially that he was only 66.

I heard an interview on the radio a few months ago with someone who'd been hitch-hiking across America as a student in the 60s. He'd sewn a small Union Jack flag on his backpack and was standing by the side of the road when a big limo pulled up beside him. It turned out to be Davy Jones. He said he would always pick up a fellow Brit and he took the interviewee back to his house and his wife made a meal and the kids came in and it was all very friendly. He seemed to be a very nice man :(.

My older sister and I always used to fight over which Monkee we wanted. Davy Jones was #1, but she always said, "I get Davy!!". Then I had to settle for one of the others. I would switch back and forth. I used to call Peter Tork, Peter Dork.
Where are the remaining Monkees today?

I think I still have all of the Monkees albums.
