New forum software was launched this evening, there are quite a few new features. I know it will take some time to get used to, but once the initial shock wears off, the improvements will make us wonder how we ever used the previous version.

The two features that I remember being asked for the most are 1) Blocking users so you don't have to read their posts, and 2) being able to sort threads so the most recent posts are at the top. These features are both available via your user control panel.

Please post all feedback (good, bad, or even indifferent) right here, and we'll iron out any wrinkles ASAP.

I remember :-)

We're trying to decide if it's better to have a forum that has a calendar, or a new site that has a calendar, forum, and other stuff.

The Sunland Tujunga Coordinating Council has recently put together a community calendar. They have contacted the organizations, city, places like Bolton Hall and McGroarty and events are being posted on the calendar. I don't know how to get it on the forum, though. I get it through email. Ray and Fran are overseeing it. If there is interest, I can ask them if there is a way to do that.
