The problem with Golf is that it has a limited attraction in this area. We need to broaden the interest to include some historic Foothills sports

If that were the way it was played I'd be more interested. Maybe i'd even be able to hit the ball...Hilarious!

I thought you shot skeet with an over/under, not a pump - he missed at least one chance for a double.

As the wife and daughter of two men who have been shot, I did not find this as amusing as Coop does.

edit: Both my Father and my Husband survived the separate shooting incidents

Pumps are popular on the course,
just not with the golfers:

Just cruising around the internet. Parts of it look staged. I imagine they loaded light with wads only (no shot).

Personally, I would NOT wear High Heels on the course, but if that is your fashion choice I respect it. I also totally respect your bravery for posting your fashion choice on this public forum! Wanna go shoe shopping???? I wear wide shoes too.. I assume you do too, being male and all.

Benfranklin, Walk This Way on Honolulu in Montrose has a very good choice in wide shoes. They also carry your favorite, pumps, in many colors and sizes. Just let me know!

Actor Jon-Erik Hexum killed himself
with a prop gun (.44 Magnum). My
concern for this "shoot" was it "appears"
the innocent bystanders may have had
no hearing protection.

Just so you know, and I mentioned it before
on this forum, my brother was shot point
blank in chest just walking to work
early in the morning in Granada Hills,
by some low-life mugger(s). He survived
after having open heart surgery. So, I
know a little about how that feels, to
have a family member be a victim of
gun violence.

PS I was heartbroken when Shoe Pavilion
filed for filed for bankruptcy last year. :P

So... we have much in common... I am sorry about your brother. As I know, it is beyond horrible to have a family member shot. The phone calls right after are so confusing and then the reality gets much worse.... BTW.. we shop at DSW now. There's one is Pasadena!  Again.. sorry but I am glad he survived! My father was shot in his grocery store when I was 17 years old... feel like yesterday but it was 37 years ago! My husband was shot 15 years ago. It is all still so fresh in my mind.

And lest we forget.....
People with box cutters killed over 3,000 people in one September morning. Had there been only ONE gun on each of those flights, none of it would have happened.

For safety reasons, I think you're right. But interestingly enough, it doesn't matter to the golf ball. I have actually played "skeet golf" and was astounded to discover that the golf ball cover remains unbroken. In fact, the impact really doesn't even change the ball's flight noticeably. And we were hitting sand wedges almost straight up, so we were much closer than what was shown here.

Our conclusion was that we need to make a car out of whatever material they use for aircraft "black boxes", then wrap it in golf ball cover material, and we can withstand anything!
