I'm wondering if we need a new topic for disasters and emergencies like the fire and the floods and the major pipe bomb incident... so we can easily find where to get information in one spot? A place to know what is going on, where, and how to become prepared in the event they do happen....

We've had our share of these lately so it would help sort things out easier...and we can always hope that after we get through this rainy season... the topic would be the least used instead of the most used, but know that it's there if something happens again.

I think it's a great idea, but I'm hesitant to do it right now since we're sort of 'in the middle' of the impending rain disaster. Any opinions?

It's a dangerous planet, we're always in the middle of impending disaster. Usually we don't think about it. Implement whenever you want.

I agree it is a fantastic idea. Are you worried about the timing because people won't be able to find the new section? I think you are the best judge of that.

I think now is the perfect time to do it - so I can find all of the rain related posts in one spot! And of course you can provide a link on the local forum announcing it.... All the links that you move will show they are moved there anyway.

Should be all set now, let me know if there are any issues. And good luck with the rain.
